Debora Hawkins is a missionary kid who grew up in France and went through
the French school system until grade 11. At
this time she transferred over to a missionary school in Kandern, Germany called
Black Forrest Academy. There, she
finished high school before moving to Canada and attending Trinity Western
University in British Colombia.
Debora married Mark Hawkins and now they have two boys who are 11 and 14.
They live in Niagara Falls, Canada where she has taught French at
a small Christian school for six years. Debora felt God
inspiring her to develop a curriculum that would combine her love of the French
language, with her missionary experience and add a Christian perspective to the
French classroom.
MISSION ABC
is for Kindergarten to grade 2/3 and MISSION MONDE
for grades 3 to 8. Debora invested
in great graphic programs to supply the newest designs for the students and make
their workbooks and flashcards stimulating and exciting.
There are also actual pictures of selected families while on a
"mission".
Developing a curriculum is a great responsibility and Debora has researched many
different theories for language learning. She has blended many of these to
create a curriculum that is
comprehensive, yet not overwhelming. Her
material has been edited and reviewed by qualified people to bring a quality
product to your school.
